The Toasty Podcast Ep 10 |Car Restoration | Ag Exemption
Car Restoration
What classifies a car restoration? Is it the age of the vehicle or the condition? I don’t think it’s all fun and games, that’s for sure. We dive into some rusty nuts and cover our personal projects for once. Maybe you can finally get a little taste of who we are behind the scenes of this show.
My car is a 1987 BMW 325e. I rebuilt the motor that was in it and now it sits pretty with a Precision 6062 Turbo. Lately I’ve been slowly getting it tuned, but without an accessible Dyno it’s difficult unless I pay $100/hour of use. This is my first tuning project so I’d rather not add the pressure of paying for something to tuning my car thank you! Who knows though…I might get tired of losing and finally pay someone to do it!
There’s a Reason for Rusty Nuts
I was a tech for BMW for 6 years. Matty B, the co-host, is currently a BMW Tech and also has his very own project. A 1975 Chevy K20. It’s one of those nice soft stories you hear about a Grandpa and a Dad that didn’t want it to be a waste so now it’s the Grandsons. Of course, there were a lot of rusty nuts involved hence why we added that to the name. Maybe it’ll stick. Anywho, it’s a cute story. You should listen to it on The Toasty Podcast below. Also, don’t forget to like share and subscribe so you can get the latest from The Toasty Podcast kitchen!
